Norfolk island police

The Norfolk Island Police have the job of making Norfolk Island a safe and peaceful place to work in, live in and visit.  The Police carry out daily patrols of the island.  They investigate crimes and they make sure that everyone drives safely.  Police also help to look for people when they are lost on the island or at sea.

The Norfolk Island Police Station is located on New Cascade Road.  There are three Police on Norfolk Island that are members of the Australian Federal Police.  These officers come to Norfolk from Australia for a period of 2 years.  There are also four Special Constables who all come from Norfolk Island.  The Police have two 4-wheel-drive vehicles which are fitted with red & blue warning lights and sirens. There are also Police radios in the vehicles.
